17 Institutions conducting technical prorgrammes without AICTE approval in Haryana


The Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana has issued revised list of technical institutions conducting technical programmes without approval of  All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The department also cautioned and advised the students, their parents and general public not to take admission in the unapproved or bogus institutions, as some bogus universities, colleges and institutions are duping the students by charging hefty fee and also issuing bogus degrees or certificates.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the department said that the students seeking admission in any of the technical institutions must first check the status of approval of the institutions on the websites www.aicte-india.org andwww.techeduhry.nic.in.
          He said that as per the revised list issued on July 17, 2012, as many as 17 institutions were conducting technical programmes without AICTE’s  approval. These included Algol School of Management and Technology, Gurgaon, Ansal Institute of Technology, Sector-55, Gurgaon, College of Hospitality and Tourism, Gurgaon, G.D. Geonka World Institute-G.D. Geonka Education City Sohna-Gurgaon Road, Haryana, ICAII Institute of Management and Technology, Mohali Campus, Phase-7, (on phase 7 and Sector70 dividing road)  Chandigarh: SCO 22, Sector-33D, Near Terrance Garden, Chandigarh, ICFAI Business School, Gurgaon, ICFAI National College 308, Qutub Plaza, Phase-I, Gurgaon. IILM for Higher Education, Gurgaon, IIPS Panipat, Institute for International Management and Technology, Gurgaon, Institute of Apparel Management, Gurgaon, International Institute of Hotel Management, Gurgaon, NIAM Centre for Analytics and Research Excellence, Faridabad, Skyline Business School, Gurgaon, Shree Balaji Institute of Computer, Panchkula, International Institute of Management, DLF phase-2, Faridabad and Fazlani Altius Business School, DLF Cyber city, Gurgaon.
          He said that as far as the programmes run under distance mode by the deemed universities were concerned, the approval of the UGC-AICTE-DEC joint committee was mandatory and the matter was being dealt by the Distance Education Council, Indira Gandhi National Open University. Any information in this regard may be obtained from the Director, Distance Education Council, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi and Member Secretary All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.
