Results of limited competitive examination for IPS declared

 The results of written part of Indian Police Service Limited Competitive ( IPSLC) examination 2012, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission has been declared. The results are available in the UPSC website (www.upsc.gov.in) and the Ministry of Home Affairs will intimate the successful candidates about the date, time and venue of the medical examination to be conducted by them, an official release said. The candidature of all the candidates whose roll numbers are shown in the list is provisional subject
to their being found eligible in all respects, including clearance from courts and Central Administrative Tribunals. The tentative date for personality test is from August 8. The personality test schedule will also be uploaded on the UPSC Website. The move to recruit IPS officers through limited competitive examination was taken by home minister P Chidambaram after finding a large number of vacancies in various cadres of IPS which has been hampering functioning of police forces.
