Haryana adopts innovative technique to teach maths and science


Adopting innovative techniques of teaching subjects like maths and science, the Haryana Government has launched the new "building as learning" programme in schools of Sirsa district.

Under this programme, walls, doors, fans, toilets, computer room and various such places would be painted with different educative models within the school premises.
The doors of the school building would be used as protractor which would help the students in better understanding of geometry and angle-related concepts. He said that under the scheme, digital classrooms would be set up in 71 schools of the district for building as learning programme, 20 schools have been chosen out of these 71 schools. The programme would be initially launched in two schools of Sirsa district as a pilot project, an official spokesman said. Later under the Backward Region Grant-in-aid Scheme, this programme would be started in 20 Government schools of the district by spending an amount of Rs 60 lakh.
